The glaciers in the Karakoram Range and Asian Mountains in
China seem to be expanding and growing. Satellite images show that the size of
these glaciers is actually increasing. Karakoram Glaciers cover 3% of the earth
surface (and this area excludes those of Antarctica and Greenland) the glaciers
had increased in thickness by about 0.11 meters over the time region from 1998
to 2008. According to researchers, global warming does not seem to have
affected them at all.
