A mild earth quake struck northern parts of Argentina early on Monday morning.  The earthquake measured 6.4 on the Richter scale as per the reports from US Geological Survey.

The earthquake was felt in the early hours at around 2:08 hrs local time.

There were no reports of causalities or any damage from the earthquake which was centered about 20 miles away from Suncho Corral in the province of Santiago del Estero.  Suncho Corral is located 630 miles from capital Buenos Aires.
