Donna Summer inimitable and sexy Crooner of Disco World dies

Donna Summer the undisputed Queen of Disco passed away at her home aged 63. She had been fighting with the dreaded disease cancer. People know her best for her song Love to love you Baby and her sex appeal on stage and when the song Last Dance hit the silver screen she rose to stardom. Then began a long stint of hit songs and the following years Donna Summer reigned as the undisputed Queen of the Disco song.
Most of her songs are marked by her characteristic groans and moans which give her songs a bedroomy tinge and the song gets loads and loads of sex appeal. Heaven Knows, MacArthur Park and Bad Girls hit the top of the charts and the songs were all on everybody's lips and minds.
The Queen of Disco had a modest childhood and started out as a choir singer at the age of 10. She was born LaDonna Adrian Gaines in Boston in the year 1948. Donna Summer holds an impressive list of number 1 songs and some records which are unbroken even today. Only Madonna has broken Donna Summer's record of maximum of number of dance song hits through the years 1975 to 2008. Her other records includes Billboards Number 1 double albums song. She was the first singer to achieve the feat.
